Dr. Hewa Artin is a board-certified psychiatrist who earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in Molecular and Cell Biology with a concentration in Neurobiology. After graduation, he worked as a research associate at UCLA, contributing to studies on bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and ADHD. He completed a Master’s in Medical Sciences at Loyola University Chicago and earned his Medical Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, graduating with honors in Bioethics and Professionalism.
Following medical school, Dr. Artin completed his general psychiatry residency at UC San Diego, where he served as Chief Resident and received advanced training in interventional psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. He also pursued additional training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, completing a fellowship at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center. Now, in addition to his private practice, Dr. Artin serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the UCLA Department of Psychiatry, where his academic interests include neuromodulation and psilocybin-assisted therapy.
